The Living Law

Hebrews 10
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: 16“This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”
YHWH (God) has written the law on our hearts and in our minds. The law has not been done away with but instead has been fulfilled, made complete and perfect through the sacrifice of Yeshua. The law is alive as we are. The law is no longer written on tablets of stone, far away and unattainable. The law is within us and so is the Holy Spirit of God. It should be with great rejoicing and happiness that we are obedient to God. Especially after everything that he has done for us that we do not deserve.
Just as YHWH has again drawn close to us and enabled us to have relationship and communication with him. YHWH has also placed his law and his Holy Spirit inside us and cleansed us with the blood of his son Yeshua. YHWH has made a way for us in all things. We should be honored to honor him. Now if we make a mistake we have forgiveness through Yeshua. Yet God’s grace should not be an excuse for us to sin or live according to our own rules and desires.
There seems to be much debate among believers about many things these days. The debates most interesting to me are the ones about God’s law and if we have to follow it or not and God’s Holy days and if we must celebrate them or not. This time of year there is debate about Christmas and if we as believers should celebrate it or not? Is Sabbath day Saturday or Sunday? Then there are some people that say it does not matter what is in our heart is all that matters.
As I have been researching various topics of interest and being led by the Holy Spirit to seek out the truth I have come to many interesting facts. I have also had many interesting discussions with believers and non-believers. It has led me to want to share more of what I learn and encourage others to dig deeper and research more. I have found that even much of what I have been taught for so long by many people is not correct.
These can be lengthy subjects and so I am going to do my best not to spend too long on any one but instead touch on each subject enough to give you food for thought. I am really hoping that what I write will cause anyone reading to want to look at these subjects more closely. When I write it is my intention to point the reader toward God and inspire the reader to seek the answers for yourselves. We really need to question what we are being taught and led to believe. Yeshua warned us of false prophets, teachers and doctrines that can even fool the very elect if that were possible.
When Yeshua died for the sins of the world his sacrifice replaced the temporary sacrifices being made by the priests on behalf of the people. Animal sacrifices meant to temporarily cover the sins. Yeshua’s one time sacrifice enables us to be washed clean of our sins and forgiven when we make mistakes. We are no longer under the bondage of sin and subject to the wages of sin that are death.
We, all of us, through Yeshua have the ability upon accepting him as our savior to be forgiven for our sins and have a restored relationship with YHWH (God). Yeshua is now our high priest and our prayers and offerings go to God through Yeshua. We have also been given the Holy Spirit so that we do not have to try to understand and obey God on our own power. Instead the Holy Spirit of God lives within us, strengthening us, directing us, guiding us, leading us to live an obedient life with YHWH (God).
We have the Bible, the living word of YHWH filled with instructions, laws, Holy observances we are to honor, examples of what to do and not to do, history and so much more. Every word in the Bible divinely inspired by God himself using different human writers. All meant to serve specific purposes. When we seek answers to something the Bible will interpret itself using another part of the Bible. When we seek even deeper understanding it is the Holy Spirit that will interpret the word of YHWH and bring us understanding. We cannot rely on our own understanding or simply trust other people to give us understanding of YHWH’s word. We must seek truth from YHWH himself or we will not recognize what is true and what is not from others.
YHWH has given us his law, his commands, his instructions and his Holy Spirit to ensure we will not go off track. To ensure that we will be Holy as he is Holy. The grace of God and sacrifice of Yeshua (Christ) does not mean we are free to live as we want. If that were the case why would God say he wrote the law on our hearts and minds? Why would God say that we are to be Holy and remain separate from the world? What separates us if not our striving toward holiness and our obedience to God.
If we remove YHWH’s laws and replace them with manmade laws and traditions how will we remain Holy and obedient to God? If we replace God’s 7th day Saturday Sabbath with Sunday are we still obeying God? Who gave us the right to replace the appointed day God set? God specifically instructs us and commands us not to add to or subtract from God’s word.
If we stop honoring and observing the Holy days YHWH (God) himself ordered his people to observe and we then replace them with manmade holidays and celebrations who are we truly honoring? If we are called by God and filled with his Holy Spirit we should want to honor him. It should bring us joy to obey God if we are truly doing it out of love. If we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us we will be led to YHWH, closer to him. If we ask YHWH to reveal the truth to us we will be led to truth.
Hebrews 10
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: 16“This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”
26If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected the Law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay, and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”31It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

If we continue to sin willingly and live according to our own rules we are casting God aside. We are casting Yeshua’s great sacrifice to the curb as though he doesn’t matter.
It is a great lie that Gods laws no longer matter.
It is a great sin to exchange Gods laws for man’s laws.
It is not meant for us to add to or subtract from Gods laws.
It is not meant for God’s creation to decide to ignore Gods word and replace his honored times with manmade times.
God has done so much more for us than we deserve.
Should we repay his love, his grace with disobedience and arrogance like we know better?
Should we decide to change Gods instructions to better suit us?
Let us turn back to God completely seeking him again for truth and instructions and break out of these manmade chains.
Only God can truly point us in the right direction and lead us to those that truly come in his name.
